Nacier Family

A full-out smile, a joy of life... oh man, I love it!

Then there's the "frown-smile."  Have you ever seen one?  The bottom half of the face is smiling, but there is still a ditch between the brows.  I also call it the "worried dad" look.  I'll be taking photos of a beautiful family and then, step by step, dad gets worried... I understand.  This is mom's territory, he has to get back to serious business.  Didn't we get the picture?  Were we all in it and no one was blinking?  That should be enough.  Dads, I get you, I promise.

Moise Nacier was not one of those dads.  We took these photos in August and I don't think the temperature had dipped below triple digits for weeks, and it wasn't a dry heat, rarely is in Texas.  Mr. Nacier was joyful, joking, happy, thrilled to be with his family before his son went off to Boston College.  He would offer a hand to his bride and make sure she was taken care of and honored.  He would quietly wipe his brow and smile again.

I remember the heat... but more than that, I remember his heart.

Elise

You know when the mascara commercial comes on and you think to yourself, "Those are false eyelashes!"

Or when the pore-minimizing lotion comes on, you think, "That's fake skin, or special lenses combined with magical lighting!"  Until... you meet a girl like Elise who doesn't have pores.  Like I'm seriously wondering how her skin breathes, its beautiful, along with her coloring, her expressions, her laugh, and her funny way of conversing.  I, for real, had so much fun yakking in the car with this girl; it felt like I was out with an old friend.

She was my senior rep this year and she is darling!  She graduates Saturday and heads for Texas A&M this Fall to join her sister.  I'm not sure what her mom will do with only one boy left at home.
