Senior Pictures of a Soccer Goalie - by Photographer Lisa McNiel

“God is greater than the highs & the lows.” John 16:33
Dalton's favorite quote, from the Bible in this case, helps put life, especially high school life, in perspective!

He spends his time working on his car, working a job, playing soccer, studying, hanging out with his friends and playing video games.

His favorite memory is  winning district championships in soccer his freshman year with JV1 with 3 games left in districts.

I like getting a mom's perspective on their children, and this is what his mom had to say about him:
Dalton's entire world revolves around soccer. He is an overall great athlete who has tried every sport but soccer stuck. He's played since he was 4 years old. He plays for both Marcus High school as the starting Varsity Goalkeeper as well as for the FC Dallas 01 Premier team. His freshman year he went the entire season without allowing a single goal! He's even traveled to Europe and played soccer with his FC Dallas teammates in Ireland. He plans to play college soccer as well.

Dalton is also very passionate about cars. He has a sporty BRZ that he's constantly working on/upgrading and he is constantly watching car videos. He even wanted his picture taken with his car at Prom!

Dalton is part of a tight knit small group of friends. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and family. He also has a love for his country and is very patriotic. His Gramps was a Vietnam Veteran who he was very close to.

Liberty Christian Tennis Player Senior Pictures by Dallas Photographer Lisa McNiel

Maddie Nelson is a quiet, witty soul like her mom. She observes, assesses, and thoughtfully decides how she wants to spend her time, what she wants to focus on, and how that might all play out in the long term.

In her session we incorporated her tennis racquet and balls, and her Bible. Her involvement at Liberty Christian School includes playing tennis and "Be Lifted" a student-led ministry. I remember when we did her session she had just written an article entitled "Six reasons to repent." It's not something you expect from a 17-year-old!

Her favorite songs are by Ben Rector and Drew Holcomb, but also old hymns (several centuries old.)

In addition to tennis and her faith and devotion to scripture, she loves to read and drink coffee. Maddie's favorite quote is "I've learned to kiss the wave that throws me against the Rock of Ages." Her favorite memory is visiting the Neuschschwanstein Castle in Germany.

Blue-eyed Maddie surrounded by tennis balls, her racquet and shaded in the chainlink fence around a tennis court.

She has a vintage vibe in this black skirt and top with white floral embroidery.

Her mom loved this photo of her looking up with those same eyes and the same smile she's always seen looking up at her.

She totally looks like the original television Wonder Woman in these photos!

Her photos were featured by both "Pinnacle Portraits" and "The Seniors Best" on Instagram.

She has a variety of looks, and this purple dress is among my favorites.

I feel like this image of her in a classic white lace dress and white hat looking into the brook may represent the inner life she keeps for those closest to her.

She's part of a tight knit family, and her affection for her sweet mom is evident here.

I'll always be a sucker for back light in photos.

Powder Puff Football - Pictures by Dallas Photographer Lisa McNiel

On a sunny "warm" Thursday North of Dallas Fort Worth in a town called Flower Mound, I grabbed four of my girls in the Senior Model Program and had them play a version of Powder Puff Football.

They. were. terrible.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the term, Powder Puff is touch or flag football usually played in the Spring between girls in the Junior and Senior classes. Funds raised from the game, if there's a charge, and concession sales might go to a charity or to the school or class.

This was primarily a fun photo-op for me, and honestly, I had no idea it would be so much fun! The girls were wonderful models and up for anything, and didn't take themselves too seriously, but honestly I think they need to stick to cheering, baton twirling, and drill team management!

Alexis fumbles, but celebrates anyway! She and Bella went to Nationals in cheerleading so who cares if she drops a ball? I don't!

Expressive Bella celebrated like she had won the lottery after she caught the ball.

Chailie was pretty skilled (like I would know good from bad, but she was confident) but she looks like she would break into two pieces if tackled.

Meaghan may have been the fastest runner, but was really all about the celebration!

Senior Pictures of a Gorgeous NHS President and National Twirler - by Lisa McNiel

You someone has a busy life when you ask what they do in their free time and they say, "meal prep!"

Chailie was featured in "Inspiring Teens" magazine this year As a baton twirler, she's won many local, regional, and state awards and is the 2017 National Intermediate Champion in X-strut ages 13-15. She also represented Lightwire Theater in the windows of Neiman Marcus in the lead role.

As the president of the National Honor Society at Founders Classical Academy in Lewisville, she's learned to communicate clearly with both the administration and student body to avoid confusion, and to make decisions for the overall good of the student body.

Twirling has helped her overcome childhood shyness and through practicing for the interview portion of the competitions, she built confidence in interpersonal communication and also speaking in front of groups.

Her favorite songs are "Other side" by Post Malone and "High Hopes" by Panic at the Disco." Her favorite quote is "Don't every let anyone treat you like free salsa. You are guac, baby girl, guac." Chailie said her favorite memory is probably the time she went snorkeling in Jamaica with her brother. "It was my first time and we had a lot of fun looking at fish, if we were lucky enough to find any. Jamaica does not have the prettiest water, but it was fun spending time with my brother!"

Chailie plans to become a business woman and/or meteorologist. Her fascination with crazy weather and experience working in sales has her torn between the two, but confident it will all work out in the end!

I like to get the mom's perspective on their child when I can. This is what Lee said about Chailie:

Chailie has always had a heart of gold. She is a very special and humble young lady.
Her favorite sport as a toddler was ice hockey. She would watch all her cousins games and eat Twizzlers with her fancy Aunt Mara doll tucked under her arm. She would often play hockey in her Cinderella foo foo shoes with her brother Brock in the kitchen.
At three years old she would tell us.. I go night night and would put herself to bed.
Fast forward to now and she is the National Honor Society President at Founders Classical Academy and is their current Feature Twirler.
Chailie has won many a local, regional, and state titles in the sport of baton twirling. She is 2017 National Intermediate Champion in X Strut ages 13-15. She also represented Lightwire Theater in the windows of Neiman Marcus for the holiday season in the lead role for Dec of 2018.
She loves to sing to her baby brother Max and he will dance along with her. She will cheer on her brother Zeke at his flag football games, and supports her big brother Brock in all his endeavors.
Currently she is looking at a business or meteorology major as well as representing her University or college in the sport of baton twirling.
