Where to do Senior Pictures in Dallas - Deep Ellum & Klyde Warren - Photographer Lisa McNiel

I always ask parents for some of their favorite memories and stories about their child. It helps me prepare for their session and as a mom, the stories are fun to read!

Here is Marianne's account of Anneliese...

Anneliese has always been a thinker, a reader and wonderful child to be around. She has always enjoyed school, and loves to be social. She’s always been great to have an intellectual conversation with. From the time she was in first grade, seemed like no matter where we went near or far, she always saw someone she knew, either kids from school, the parents of kids from school, or teachers. No doubt, she has always been my little social butterfly. At the age of 3 she was using words like “distinguished” to describe her outfits. Strangers were always very impressed by her phonics and the use of language at such a young age. All the way through school, she absolutely hands down LOVED the library, she has always checked 2-3 novels out AND actually read each one. I used to get frustrated with her in elementary school because her backpack always had 3-4 library books in it and I’d say “how can you read all those and keep up with each story, from one to the other?” And she’d say, “I just can mom!!” Lol
She’s passionate about animals, especially dogs. We recently had to put our 12 year old dog down & that was really difficult for her. If I would let her have 12 dogs, she would literally be the happiest girl in the world. But her mom is not a dog person. Lol
She has been in theatre since kindergarten and absolutely loves it. That was her fondest memories with her friends I think all through school.
She is graduating 6 months early and will be traveling abroad soon after to Germany to work and increase her German vocabulary.
She loves to write, read and draw. She Is very headstrong and can debate with the best of them. I’m really very proud of her, she is on her way to doing great things for herself as well as others.

Anneliese says her favorite personality trait is that she's easy-going. She enjoys theatre, reading and drawing, and her favorite memory is reading a really good book for the first time. Her favorite quote is “Don’t let the hard days win. Only you decide what breaks you.” -Sarah J Maas

Where to do Senior Pictures - Studio and Lewisville - Flower Mound Photographer Lisa McNiel

Where to do Senior Pictures - Studio and Lewisville - Flower Mound Photographer Lisa McNiel

My last senior model of the 2020 team and winner of my cover contest... Allie Barss!

"From a young age I noticed Allie's strong will, strength, and determination. She discovered acrobatic tricks on YouTube when she was about 8. Allie taught herself how to do many tricks that would make me cringe. She would practice over and over until she got it right. Allie was known to do cartwheels and flips all the way down the halls of McAuliffe elementary after school. She would even move the living room furniture around so she could dance and perform tricks.

I enrolled her in gymnastics. After a couple of months her coach, Lucke, pulled me aside and told me she was not a gymnast. He felt she was a dancer. He was starting an acrobatic dance class at a local studio and wanted Allie to come with him. So she did. That year she joined the company dance team. Lucke asked if he could choreograph a solo for her. I will never forget seeing her perform her solo on stage for the very first time. She was amazing! Allie took the overall title that night beating 78 other girls. At that moment I knew she was absolutely a dancer. Over the next 10 years she continued to shine on stage and on the football field with the Marquettes. I have divots and scratches in my hardwood floors from her moving furniture or spinning on her spin board. I was mad at the time, but now I look at them and smile thinking about the story they tell." - Lisa Barss

Allie was involved in Marquettes, Adopt-An-Athlete, and HUB at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. In her free time, she likes to dance, hang out with friends, listen to music, and dabbles in Art and Photography.

As a senior model rep, she got to do extra shoots during the year so you'll see her in an American flag pictures for Independence Day, a special prom dress shoot in a super cool location, some Texas flag photos, because... Texas, a Carnival session in Grapevine with her best friend. You can see those images and the other senior model reps in  "Be a Senior Model" and Dallas Senior Model Team

I remember Allie from when she was little bitty when my older son was in her mama's 3rd grade class and when she was a big first grader when my younger son was in Lisa's class. I feel blessed that two of my three children lucked into getting Ms. Barss!

Graduation Pictures with a Beautiful Byron Nelson fyuy Cheerleader - Trophy Club Photographer Lisa McNiel

She looks fierce and intimidating in this top picture, and I have no doubt she's qualified and capable of staring down a challenge and making it hers. My experience with her is absolutely delightful. Halle brings such an air of fun and energy to every group, that I was ready to snag her and take her home after our first model shoot!

Not only was she a Byron Nelson High School Varsity Cheerleader and UCA All American, she was a Special Needs Cheer Coach for Super Kids, attended Compass Church, worked at Pelican's Sno-Cones in Old Town Roanoke, was a Diamond Girl for the BNHS Baseball Team, and was the Co-Founder and Group Facilitator for Cattywampus Ministry (a teen girl's Christian Bible study group.)

Halle's favorite quote is Proverbs 31:25 "She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future." Her favorite memory is "cheering under the Friday night lights of the varsity football games!!  I am a Texas girl and Friday nights with my girls are the best part of high school. I also love country dancing at Billy Bob's with all my friends and all of our families."
