Cheerleading poses, ideas, individual, squad and team

It's still warm outside in Texas, but that doesn't mean we aren't fired up for high school football and Friday night lights! If you are interested in including a passion such as cheer in your Senior Pictures, or if you are a captain or coach and need ideas for posing individuals and groups, this blog is full of pinnable poses.

I had to shoot these 60+ cheerleaders from the 6A school of Flower Mound Marcus starting at 2:00 on a very sunny afternoon. We used a reflector and I put the girls to work. There are slight changes in some of the poses to make it more individualistic and I include an individual pose for male cheerleaders or as we used to call them, yell-leaders, and for different sized groups, teams, and squads, and also sitting, standing, and lying down poses with and without pom poms and megaphones.

Above you can rotate 45 degree angles to change up head shots slightly.

 Maybe the girls' favorite pose.

 Show the home team!

 Sisters or friends pose.

Guy or male cheerleader or yell leader pose.

Fun with the fifty yard line.

The ones of Margaret were taken on a cloudy day so we had more leeway with the field.

 Squads and teams.

Position of pom poms and angle to camera change up look.

Three different looks for sitting.
