Oh my goodness, what a joy Carson Prewitt was to photograph! That hair alone is a Senior Photographer's dream. And she's smart, so smart, Valedictorian smart. She and her mom travelled up to the Dallas area - Denton to be exact - to do her senior pictures. They live in the College Station area, but had seen photos they liked on Pinterest, and decided to give me a visit. I'm so glad they did!
We celebrated her love of reading at an vintage bookstore in the Square. she wore a lacy, cream shift. Her mom kept commenting on how much she loved Denton, how it reminded her of the towns she grew up in and how friendly everyone was.
Even though she's from the College Station area, she plans to go to UT Austin... (Gasp!) (wink)

Aw, man! Who can resist piano key stairs and red white and blue barn wood? That photo of her by the Texas flag was actually a brave act for this super-accomplished girl because she's afraid of heights.

This shade of pink was perfect with her tan and blond curls. She's a showstopper against those purple walls and with the back light.
Eek! One of my favorites. Can you believe those blue eyes?
Wait, maybe this is my favorite at this location. It's too difficult to decide.
Yep, she's also a rock star golfer (like Top Three in the state of Texas) so we had to show that larger-than-life interest in her images.
One more because we did the middle part of her "Model for a Day" three hour session at the golf course.
*Bonus tip - light blue shirts are going to set off blue eyes and white is great to pair it with.
*gets online to find a fabulous hot pink high halter neck dress subconsciously knowing it won't look the same on a middle-aged pale brunette.
I was grateful the sun was in the right spot and we arrived at the right time since there are no do-overs when working with an out-of-town client. If there's something more simultaneously thrilling and peaceful about shooting a beautiful high school senior in a field with backlight showing all that texture, I can't think of it off the top of my head.
I know they're more editorial than portraity, but these are my real favorites. Just. love. them.
Carson wore her mom's beautiful (and expensive) striped Boho dress that perfectly matches the red in the bridge for a classic look.
