Vintage 1950's Senior Model Styled Shoot by Flower Mound Photographer Lisa McNiel

One of the things I love about vintage photography is that you're reminded that the old girl you see at the grocery store is exactly that... a girl who has seen a lot of years. She still feels young inside though her body is limited. For a second, see her as who she is, beautiful, vibrant, full of life and stories and memories, fears and dreams. See her as a girl wearing the latest fashion, and hanging out with her friends by the lake with hula-hoops, feeding apples to horses, and eating watermelon.

When you see that old guy at Home Depot, know that his back wasn't always bent, see the "cool" in him, the strength and optimism, the wit and deep friendships, cruising town in his dad's slick 1955 Chevy.

These beautiful teenagers could be anyone's, but I feel like they're "mine." My son and his tribe. My youngest is a senior this year and although in my first year of doing a Senior Model Program, I wasn't planning to include boys, when it came up, how could I possibly resist?

I'm not going to say it was easy wrangling some of the Y chromosome group since they know I don't stay mad if they make me laugh, but we somehow had them all looking like 1950s teens out on a Summer day being goofy.

I will treasure all three of my children's senior portraits, but I'm glad I also got these pictures of Alex and his friends.

Beautiful Red-haired Scholar Senior Pictures by North Texas Photographer Lisa McNiel

Voted "Most Likely to Succeed" and the last I heard, right up there in the top 5 in her class in her class of over 800 at Marcus, Maddie Saunders is not "just" smart and studious, but a former Marquette, (dance team) for her Texas high school North of Dallas Fort Worth in Flower Mound.  She in one of my Senior Models and you'll be able to see her in the Vintage 1950's shoot with a classic red Chevy.  My son is among her many friends and I'm always happy to see her face when the group migrates to my home.

Her short black dress with lacy sleeves and Army green both compliment that enviable red hair and those big brown eyes!

Boho Senior Pictures - Dallas Photographer Lisa McNiel

These girls are such great sports! It was about 176 degrees in Texas the day we did this Boho Model Session, but the sunlight and Lake Lewisville were great backdrops and their collective fashion sense shined.  The schools represented were Marcus High School with Kellyn and Sammie, Plano High School with Alyssa and Megan, and Grapevine Faith with Audra.  These "Fabulous Five" would look great in any old set of footie pajamas, but in Boho style with gorgeous hair and makeup, and some fun styling should give you ideas for your own Senior photo shoot and if you might want to include a Boho style.

Senior Portraits for Marcus by Flower Mound Photographer Lisa McNiel

I only spent a couple of hours with Kyle, but I'm intuitive enough to see that this young man is quick with a smile and willing to be goofy to make his friends and family laugh. Well-liked and smart, he studies at Texas A&M, worships at the Village church, plays guitar, spends time with his steady, Abbie, and his encouraging parents and sister.  His mom wanted to include pictures she had of extended family and of him and his friends in his album, which just shows how much this family values relationships.
