McKinney Texas Wedding Photographer - Lisa McNiel

Kevin and Kayla

It took them awhile to find each other.

It was worth the wait.

Kevin is a firefighter and Kayla is an accountant.  They chose a charming outdoor location in historic old McKinney, Texas North of Dallas.  Her sister and brother walked her down the aisle.  His mom grabbed last hugs and giggles while he got ready.  Her ring-bearer and flower girl thought she looked like a princess and weren't sure if they could approach her.

Then they partied with old friends and new, told stories and danced and left for Hawaii... Life is but a dream!

Los Colinas Wedding

Amanda and Brian's wedding...  Things started going wrong from the beginning.  She didn't have her dress when she needed it.  It was a hellahot Texas day with 114% humidity and with the doors left open the blue icing melted all over the white cake.  When they were lighting the unity candle Amanda burned her finger.  And at one point, the DJ's equipment wouldn't work.  But you know the rest of the story, right?  Everyone had a blast!  It was a beautiful wedding with happy guests and their love was celebrated with their family and friends.  Such a happy memory!

Dallas Family Photography - Lisa McNiel

"Perfect" seems like  cold word when describing people.  It feels intimidating and elusive so I can't use it to describe the Crawfords because they are warm, spontaneous, comfortable, and interested in others.  They are also right in that beautiful place of being head-over-heals in love with their little Henry.  And why not... he is adorable.  I might have snagged him myself!

They traveled from Downtown Dallas up to Highland Village and Denton for family photographs and I am so tickled that I got to spend a few hours with them.  Enjoy their adorable family!

Starbucks Frappuccino - for cheap!

Starbucks Frappucinos: $1.50 to $2.50 each
My Frappucinos in their bottles: $0.35-.40 each

Plus the big benefits of re-using the bottles which is better than recycling.  I never felt comfortable wasting those bottles.

And they are lower calorie and don't have preservatives.

Per Bottle:
1 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons creamer (I use Great Value Brand creme de brulee)
1 rounded teaspoon instant coffee (a good brand) dissolved into
2 tablespoons hot water
1 teaspoon sugar or equivalent of sweetner

I drink three of these a day, so I make nine at a time.  It doesn't take long at all.  I make them at night and put them high in the fridge so they are super cold.

Recycle the bottles you have or use mason jars.

Adjust the ingredients to your liking.

For one dozen bottles, I use about 10-12 cups skim milk, four heaping tablespoons instant coffee, 1.5 cups hot water, 24 tablespoons refrigerated creamer, 3 packets of sweetener (or if sugar use more.)

Two tablespoons creamer in each bottle of Milk, sweet cream flavor is really good.
Two tablespoons water per bottle, for a dozen I used 1.5 cups heated for 2 minutes.
Use your choice of sweetener, sugar, stevia, honey...

After the ingredients are added to the water, it will make enough to put in about 2 tablespoons, plus 1 teaspoon of the coffee and sweetener mixture.

This helps me greatly in that I feel like I am conserving resources by reusing those great little bottles, I know what I am drinking and the preservatives are few to none, and I'm not spending $4.50 per day on coffee.

If you like pictures, I am a photographer...

Bridal portraits - Inside and Outside

Bridal Portraits:  The  one time in your life you get to be a princess... or at least look like one.  I'm not sure shooting bridals in Texas in the late "Spring" qualifies as a princess experience, but Amanda and her mom, Connie, and I had a great time, giggling and trying new and different poses and playing with the Peacock feathers she brought.

I was playing with her pictures after her wedding and realized I love the high key black and white look on her.  Pin or share if you agree!
