Headshots for Professionals - by Dallas Photographer Lisa McNiel

It would be silly for me to try to convince you of the importance of an online presence when it comes to all forms of careers. You don't have to be in Real Estate, Law, or Banking to need a good headshot.

These were taken last year, but I've been doing head shots lately and wanted to share some done for Melanie, Bill and Kymberly.

The following is taken directly from a blog about how to build a good website to improve conversion rates.  You can view it all here.

"You should almost ALWAYS include a picture of yourself and your team.
Here’s the deal:
People like to connect with people… not faceless corporations and businesses.
Most recently I’ve ran some eye-tracking tests on Social Triggers.com and I’ve found that people spend an inordinate amount of time on my footer.
Why?
Yes, they’re looking for what they can do next, but I also have a picture of myself, and a biography down there too.
And there’s one more benefit for using a real photo on your site:
People want to do business with people they know, like and trust... If you don’t show your photo, people often think the reason why is a bad one, and they assume you’re untrustworthy.
Look at it like this:
Would you ever buy something from someone wearing a mask?
I wouldn’t.
So use your real photo to build your credibility, thus increasing your conversion rates."
OK, so any photo will do... right?  WRONG.  I don't think I even need to explain why.  We all want to put our best foot forward.  I will help you do so with head shots for your website, office and any communication or social media!

Business head shots for professionals and corporate photography

The same part of the brain that determines the value of something is used when seeing a photo of a person, especially for the first time. Learn more about that and what you need to prepare for Business head shots by clicking: Business photography.

Team Nelson - Headshots by Lisa McNiel

If you live around the "Flowerplex" of Flower Mound, Highland Village, and the surrounding cities of North DFW, you may have seen a Team Nelson car for their real estate company. Or maybe you caught Bill's interview on Fox News for his innovative, "Buy a house through us and we'll sell yours for free" program.
I felt an instant connection to Andra. She was warm, welcoming, gentle... (With just a hint of shyness). Every communique I've had with her has been lovely and soft, like her.  Their office is filled with laughter and connection.
If you haven't thought lately about your own personal "brand" and having up-to-date headshots by someone who will work until they get a genuine expression, I really encourage you to do so. The science behind how people make decisions with people they trust and how quickly they make that decision is convincing.  I didn't have any trouble getting attractive, natural expressions out of this group. I had to tell them to stop laughing a few times though!
The team seems to live by the adage, "Work hard. Play hard."  You should swing by for a cup of coffee and game of pool and check out their new digs.    To get more info about Team Nelson, check out www.YourHomeFree.com.

Here are a few of the head shots that I did for Patent Capital Group in the North Texas area.  They are young, fresh, approachable, and they needed their pictures to communicate that.

They each had about a dozen or so images to choose from an online gallery.

Since they are spread out and oftentimes aren't able to meet face to face with clients, the photos enhance the website and overall communication and experience.
