Remember this name: Andrew Fitzgerald. As a 6'5" 250 lb. Defensive End for Flower Mound's Marcus High School, he was recruited by Kansas State, Oregon, Baylor, Boise State, California, Illinois, Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, SMU, Texas Tech, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Virginia according to ESPN. He finally signed with UT Austin the week he was playing at the Semper Fi All-American bowl.
You can read a wonderful article about his father, and values, and how he's a "J.J. Watt Starter Kit" here! His last two seasons at Marcus he had 20 quarterback sacks, but what I really care about is his manners, how he photographs, and just like everyone else I care if he's a good guy. And he really is. Believe me, his mom and dad would put up with nothing less, and as the youngest of four brothers, even if he had to fight for his spot at the dinner table, he had plenty of opportunity to observe and absorb the values of a strong Catholic faith and loyalty to family, friends and country.
My Senior Girl models don't know any of that, they just see his movie star good looks! He's always been a cutie, from the time he was a little bitty guy, but I remember seeing him when he was in the 6th grade and he was already towering over me. It's exciting to see good people doing well, and I'm excited to see what is in store for Andrew in the future!
