Long before I was a photographer, I was a little weird... and I had photoshop. So to me, Christmas cards meant it was time to have fun and celebrate the people in my life. These are some ideas you might be able to use to have a twist on your Holiday cards this season. Vintage Saturday Evening Post Christmas with a Currier and Ives feel, The Chronicles of Narnia Christmas with your children fighting fierce battles, It's a Wonderful Life Christmas with you featured as George and Mary Bailey, or my all time favorite, The Incredibles Christmas, if it works for your family as it did mine with an oldest girl with long dark hair, and two younger sons. Since my youngest is now 17 years old, I may get in trouble for this blog. Obviously, this is not my artwork and it all belongs to the artists who originated it. I just added photos of my children for my own amusement.

Flower Mound High School Senior with his Saxophone by Photographer Lisa McNiel
Zach wants to be a pilot. In fact sometimes when he is not busy practicing one of his beautiful saxophones, he will go to the DFW observation area and watch the jets take off and land, so that's where we started his Senior Session!
He's part of the award-winning Flower Mound High School band that just a week ago won the Texas state title. You can see the awards he has personally won stacked up on his letter jacket sleeve. He and his mom, Tracie, and I buzzed around Grapevine on a lovely Fall evening and made sure we explored his interests and personality and accomplishments... and of course, his beautiful, shiny, saxophones!

North Dallas Beauty Senior Pictures by Flower Mound Photographer Lisa McNiel
Mandalyn loves pretty much anything on the country top 100 list along with George Strait and Taylor Swift. She is Country Chic with boots and lace, flannels and sundresses. She takes pretty much all AP classes and cheers at Parish Espiscopal School in North Dallas and considers her best personality traits to be loyalty, reliability and being punctual.
Her favorite memories are spread over the Summers since she was eight years old. She goes to Summer Camp each year and anything from camp brings a smile to her face. She said that she's met the kindest, most amazing people there and she wouldn't trade those experiences for anything in the world. "It's a place where you can let go of all insecurities and be your makeup-free, hair-a-mess, smelling-like-a-lake self."
Her favorite quote is from the brilliant children's author, Roald Dahl, "If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely." Since she found me on Pinterest, I'm excited to be able to post her face full of sunbeams, good thoughts and pictures of her lovely face there!

Gorgeous Girl's Portrait Session by Flower Mound Photographer Lisa McNiel
Gabby swept into our home for a pre-prom dinner shortly before graduation from Marcus High School in 2013. With lovely manners and style she left an impression on me. We became Facebook friends and when I needed photos to show off my new clothes senior girls can borrow for their sessions, and she needed photos for her modeling portfolio, we got together for warm mid-Summer pictures.
