"Are you available November 1st?" It has to be November 1st, six years to the day after Bill met Lucie, he wanted to give her his last name.
They had been through dark days and bright, hurt and helped each other, and in the end, found that they just couldn't not be together. We almost cancelled the engagement shoot because there were dark storms brewing. It was raining, but I thought we would be fine with a little rain... then came the lightning and thunder, it was just too much, too dangerous to continue with the shoot. Literally five minutes after we exchanged texts to call it off, with no hopes of rescheduling before the wedding, the skies cleared, and we were back on again.
Lucie later told me that it was the perfect symbol for their relationship.
