Senior Pictures for Girls with Short Hair- Dallas Photographer Lisa McNiel

Zella is bubbly and happy so it's fitting that she is a cheerleader! She cheers for Denton High School, is sweet to her mom and close to her extended family. She likes Fleetwood Mac, Chance the Rapper, J. Cole, Amine, and Michael Jackson or the Jackson Five, so what do you suppose we listened to during her session? That's right, Michael Jackson, who her mom had heard live in concert.

Like most teenage girls, she enjoys hanging out with friends or just chilling by herself. She was easy-going, and easy to photograph. I wish her the best of luck in the future!

Her sweet mom had this to say about her:

Growing up, Zella was a princess and a tomboy all mixed into one bright eyed little girl. She always demanded that she wore a dress, blue jeans were not an option, yet she always had the pockets of the dress or the skirt filled with rocks or anything neat she found laying on the ground. Zella loved playing in mud puddles and she has a soft spot for all animals, except birds, they annoy her. Zella is kind, intelligent, sensitive, silly, a natural born cheerleader and has a smile that lights up the world. She is an International Baccalaureate student and varsity cheerleader at Denton High School .

Senior Pictures of a Handsome Senior Basketball Player in Grapevine by Photographer Lisa McNiel

Spencer is graduating from Alcuin School in Dallas and heading to Southern Methodist University in the Fall. He's a terrific basketball player and absolutely NAILED his senior session, mostly due to his warm, outgoing personality and open communication skills.

His favorite songs are Legend Has It by Run the Jewels, and GOD, ELEMENT, and LOVE by Kendrick Lamar.

He plays basketball, runs track and plays golf, and enjoys hanging out with friends, playing video games and more basketball in his free time.  His favorite quote is "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." - Wayne Gretsky

Here's a little of his mom, Beth Saada's perspective: One of my biggest joys for the last four years has been watching my son, Spencer, play basketball. He has played for both his school and on a league. He is an amazing, coordinated athlete who is involved in and is quite capable at more than just basketball but basketball remains his favorite. He handles the ball with such ease and exudes confidence on the court providing all the spectators a great time watching a little basketball. Never does he forget that he is one of a team of players and demonstrates the finest sportsmanship. Nor does he ever forget that it IS a game. 

His improved basketball skills and ability to work with a team over the years epitomizes Spencer’s growth as an individual. He is a leader both on and off the court. As he finishes up his senior year, I stand and admire the incredible young man my son is and look forward to the next game!

Family, Friends, and Football - Emilee loves them all. She spends most of her time on Cheer, and her long time boyfriend when she's not in Student Council meetings, studying, or keeping up with National Honor Socity. Denton's Billy Ryan High School's Emilee Gentry was an absolute delight to photograph, expressive, creative, fun, and super easy to work with. Her oversized purple sweater and light blue ripped jeans with suede booties show off her bright blue eyes beautifully.

Her favorite quote is: "Could I get some chips and queso please?" Bahahahaha!

She said she can't really pick out a favorite memory because she has so many wonderful ones that have gotten her here!

If you have a letter jacket, bring them to your senior session!

If you like black and white portraits in your home, let me know.

If you do an Indoor/Outdoor session, it's a good idea to bring something white, as it makes your skin color and eyes pop on my white sofa.

Remember when you're looking for Rush head shots, you don't have to go with a humdrum photo, professional lighting and sun in your hair can make your image pop and stand out among the hundreds seen!

If you have blue eyes, bring a light blue top to wear. Emilee's eyes look like butterflies to me.

Please, please, please don't be afraid to show a little personality in your pictures. Real is better than perfect!

A hat and a pair of sunglasses can give you different looks in just a few minutes.

How cute are these black ripped jeans, black deep-cut booties, boho hat, and deep blue loose top?

Wow! This may be my favorite of this blond haired, blue eyed beauty!

Model in a magazine! This romper is so perfect on her!

She made a quick switch to a green top and long green beads which added one more stylish side to this happy girl.

In the longest session, we had time to do natural settings as well. This backlit full length shot in the forest is among my faves!
