The Montez Family-Highland Village, Flower Mound Family Photography

I have so many memories of this beautiful family...


Gilbert sitting on the front row during rehearsal for Praise Team grinning at my husband and me.  We were brand new to town and to the church, and he was irrepressible in his enthusiasm for what God was doing in our little Highland Village First Baptist Church.  Beyla taught at my daughter's school.  She was always the consummate professional, organized, prepared.  Their daughters saw church as a place to give and contribute.  I remember plays and musicals and potlucks and worship nights, then later beautiful young women in college and getting married.


I'm looking at these photos and am suddenly jealous... I want family pictures made!  Oh well, you know the old saying, "The Cobbler's children have no shoes."  My children have pictures, just none with me in them.

If you think this dog looks a little "off" you are correct.  There was an oddly placed obstacle I could not move so I gave the family dog they always wanted.

Deaver Family

I would "knock on wood" as I say this, but I'm not superstitious... The families I photograph are delightful.  They are cool and easy and "together" without trying to impress me or anyone else.  At least I can definitely say that about the Deavers.


Audrey was home from college for Thanksgiving, so we were getting shots of the family to preserve this time.  I was practically begging Lisa to put them in Christmas cards because I am such a freak about that.  They seemed so happy to be together, laughing, teasing, not perfectionists.   We can be like that on a Saturday morning in our pajamas, but everyone trying to look cute and get in the car on time for a photoshoot?  Maybe when my kids get older we will be there. :-)


I talked to Lisa the other day, preparing for Abby's senior pictures.  Audrey is in Africa, building a church or an orphanage, living out her faith. So cool!  Here are the terrific Deavers.

The Damore Family

Oh my goodness!

It's a genetic jackpot, this family...


Beautiful parents, beautiful children.  Shari asked what they should wear, and I said, "You are a stylish family.  You should be true to that!"  They did not disappoint, coordinating without matching, in color and style.  They were easy, open to suggestions, always ready with a smile, or a look, or if needed... to throw down some sassy posing!


This talented group was a pleasure to work with and I found it especially fun to photograph the connection between a man and woman who have been through some life... and still feel the fire!
