Liberty Christian Tennis Player Senior Pictures by Dallas Photographer Lisa McNiel

Maddie Nelson is a quiet, witty soul like her mom. She observes, assesses, and thoughtfully decides how she wants to spend her time, what she wants to focus on, and how that might all play out in the long term.

In her session we incorporated her tennis racquet and balls, and her Bible. Her involvement at Liberty Christian School includes playing tennis and "Be Lifted" a student-led ministry. I remember when we did her session she had just written an article entitled "Six reasons to repent." It's not something you expect from a 17-year-old!

Her favorite songs are by Ben Rector and Drew Holcomb, but also old hymns (several centuries old.)

In addition to tennis and her faith and devotion to scripture, she loves to read and drink coffee. Maddie's favorite quote is "I've learned to kiss the wave that throws me against the Rock of Ages." Her favorite memory is visiting the Neuschschwanstein Castle in Germany.

Blue-eyed Maddie surrounded by tennis balls, her racquet and shaded in the chainlink fence around a tennis court.

She has a vintage vibe in this black skirt and top with white floral embroidery.

Her mom loved this photo of her looking up with those same eyes and the same smile she's always seen looking up at her.

She totally looks like the original television Wonder Woman in these photos!

Her photos were featured by both "Pinnacle Portraits" and "The Seniors Best" on Instagram.

She has a variety of looks, and this purple dress is among my favorites.

I feel like this image of her in a classic white lace dress and white hat looking into the brook may represent the inner life she keeps for those closest to her.

She's part of a tight knit family, and her affection for her sweet mom is evident here.

I'll always be a sucker for back light in photos.
