Marcus High School Cross Country Senior Pictures by photographer Lisa McNiel

I could tell you lots of facts about Noah... that he is the youngest of two sons, his mother a college professor and his father a financial planner, that he went to McAuliffe Elementary, Briarhill Middle School, and Marcus High School, and is looking at going to college at Washington State University and the University of Idaho.  He has been serious about Cross Country since early middle school and recently came in 1st in his age group and 16th overall in a Savage Race with 1047 men competing.

But what I really care about are my memories of him. I've been photographing high school seniors for 7 years and I'm still emotional about most of them. Noah has me positively sentimental! I've known this kid since first grade. He has spent many a night at my house, and my son at his. They have mourned the passing of Steve Irwin, as though he was a personal friend and teacher. They have done Adventure Guides, played with Pokemon cards, learned to drive, and talked girls. They have spent too many hours playing video games, but lots of hours playing outside and using their imagination. They, along with a few other close buddies, have enriched my life knowing them, and now the time approaches. The time when it's no longer a normal event for him to be sitting at my counter or on my family room floor. It will be Christmas or Summer or a special occasion. It seemed slow at the time, but fast looking back on it.

I'm proud of you, buddy, as I'm sure your parents and friends are!

I just love this of him making his mom laugh, even though I was losing light and telling him to stop making faces!
