Lovely Sisters and Senior Pictures by Photographer Lisa McNiel

The Disney hit movie "Frozen" won over movie-goers, and many of the reasons why went beyond the genius music, animation, and craftsmanship.  It struck a chord with us that true love comes in many forms, and a sister's love is precious...

Having a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of. You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there. ~Amy Li

Children of the same family, the same blood, with the same first associations and habits, have some means of enjoyment in their power, which no subsequent connections can supply... ~Jane Austen, Mansfield Park, 1814

More than Santa Claus, your sister knows when you’ve been bad and good. ~Linda Sunshine

Emily didn't really have special senior pictures done two years ago when she was graduating from Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas, so when it came time for little sister Sarah to have hers done they combined the session.  The energy between the two was darling, and Emily posted this picture below to Facebook.

Piazza on the Square Colleyville Wedding by Photographer Lisa McNiel

“A loving relationship is one in which the loved one is free to be himself - to laugh with me, but never at me; to cry with me, but never because of me; to love life, to love himself, to love being loved. Such a relationship is based upon freedom and can never grow in a jealous heart.”
~ Leo Buscaglia (1924-1998), professor & author

Tracey and Jeremy... When I asked for everyone who was related to Tracey to come up for Family Formals, half of the church rose and came to the front.  Jeremy is an only child.  He seems to adapt quite well to the children, noise and managed chaos, but he is quietly watching Tracey all the time, so I'm not sure he cares where he is.

They both love movies, basketball, watching the Stars play, and just being close to each other as you can see by clicking on Engagement pictures, and you can see Tracey's Beautiful Piazza in the Village Bridals by clicking on those words.

Piazza in the Village in Colleyville provided the beautiful backdrop for their day.
Dresses by Alfred Angelo and tuxes by Mens' Wearhouse.
Make up by Pat Gloger of Legacy Salon.
Her bouquet was by Market Street and she designed all the others!
Jeff Burris of  Black Tie DJs kept the party hopping.

Jeremy wanted a photo of Godzilla chasing the wedding party... I think it was the ring-bearers' favorite part of the whole day!

10 Ways to Get Pinterest Picture Love for Senior Portraits

My Top Ten most popular Senior picture blogs on Pinterest to help you plan for your 2015 or 2016 Senior portraits.

Click on the letters in Orange to see more photos and ideas from that blog!

 1. Have a point of view... Alex wanted Country Senior Pictures and that is how she styled this Highland Village Senior's Session.  Her blog has over 31,000 pins.  It boggles my mind!

2. Show something real!  Allison's shot of trying to balance on this blog has been pinned thousands of times.  In fact, this Flower Mound Senior Picture Session has over 23,000 pins.

3. Glam it up!  Do your make-up and hair, and bring your powder and lip gloss.  Plan your outfits around your figure.  Beautiful Beautiful Colleyville Senior Katelyn has had over 15,000 pins for her Photo Session.  It doesn't hurt that she is a dancer and knows how to pose!

 4. Be part of a "How To."  I really have many more clicks and reads than I do pins of this blog because it is about 7 Things You Need to Know about Pictures for Sorority Recruitment, but you can guess that Emily and Riley just have such engaging expressions that their photos keep getting pinned.

5.  Be feminine or masculine.  Gender specific posing is best for Senior Pictures.  I learned about feminine and masculine posing in Photography class, but it is really just about common sense.  You can see why Gabby and Max have so many pins.  But if you want to see a Huge variety of Seniors and Poses and clothes
just click on those words!

6. Show off your activities!  This blog just includes girls, but my football and track guys have a bazillion pins as well.  I'm including three Sports in Senior Pictures.

They have over 7,000 pins and come up high on clicks and reads each month as well.

7. Think about Posing and Colors.  Hannah's hair and clothes match the Fall setting beautifully in the top photo and are timeless so will look great in her parents' home for years to come, and she nailed the pose, complete with a sparkle in the eyes in the bottom pose.  Her photos have been pinned15,000 times!

8. Be original!  And be brave!  This Southlake Senior Dancer
was up for anything.  From lying on a grimy floor laughing at the fact she would rather check her phone than read, to becoming a fairy in Dress up clothes to make her session unique!

9.  Exude Joy and a love of life!  Kasen has an infectious excitement bubbling up from deep inside her and it is contagious!  It comes through when she is smiling and when she's not.  That intangible quality communicates in photos, and is not easily faked, so a genuine "Joie de vivre" goes a long way.  For this Flower Mound Senior  it means 10,000 pins and growing!

10.  Be Gorgeous.  LOL!  We all know it's true, but people like to look at pretty, and these three Sisters are PRETTY!  Never mind that they are in the Navy, Air Force and Army and I know for a fact that Martha on the left can beat you senseless with her kickboxing.  They are just super pretty and people pin them!

Bonus:  Wear Bright Colors.  Of course, these Coppell Senior Pictures are beautiful because the model, Layne, is beautiful, but we put her in my red skirt and headband, and her Audrey Hepburn beauty pops on the page.
