Flower Mound Marcus Senior Pictures for Boys by Photographer Lisa McNiel

"Your albums came in early! Do you want to swing by and pick them up tomorrow?"  I texted Andrew's mom, Mary, about her son's books. It was 10 pm. She messaged back that she would love to, but she had an early flight out the next day to see her mom.

First of all, Mary is precious.  She is kind and cares about family and integrity and doing the right thing, which makes me want to care about her.  Second of all, I really loved her son's pictures. His deep blue eyes and golfer grace came through, and she was in a couple that showed the closeness of the family. Third of all, I have a mom who loves her grandchildren, and nothing makes her happier than to see them at their best.

So, I got in my car... in my pajamas... and drove them over to her.  She came out in her PJs as well, and we laughed about it, but it was a hollow laugh because her mom wasn't doing well. As it turned out, this would be the last time her mom would be able to hold a book filled with photos of her handsome, accomplished grandson and know what a good job her daughter had done.  Pictures are important.
