She'd look good in a Burlap Sack!

I grew up hearing it.  "She'd look good in a burlap sack."  Sometimes I would picture it in my head, that girl in a burlap sack.  It was usually kind disclaimer to say, "Hmmm, that is an UGLY dress, but she's pretty and I like her so I'm going to add this little phrase to make it all OK."  It was kind of like saying, "Bless her heart" in the South.  You can say the ugliest things if you begin or end with "Blessherheart."  "She's as dumb as a stump, blessherheart."

Well, in my acutely unbiased and even view of the world, I decided that if anyone would look good in a burlap sack, it would be my daughter and her friends.  Plus, they owe me for many years of pizza and brownies.  So I told them to gussy up (this talk of burlap sacks is bringing out my farmer past) and made them put on burlap sacks.  It was an entirely scientific experiment that I believe proved the "If/Then" statement, If you put a pretty young girls in a burlap sack with make-up and hair and a fun attitude... Then they will still look good.

PS.  They look pretty cute in white shirts too.
